Fat Superhero Has Fallen

What happened to my fat superhero? It’s almost the halfway point for NaNoWriMo 2011 and I have all but abandoned my fat superhero. Carver was all excited to tell me his story when NaNo first began. But there’s a lot of background noise this month. I had another novel accepted for publication. I know it’s going to be editing time soon for Sebastian’s Poet. I’ve also had some major things going on…things that are big enough to silence the creative flow one needs to make it through a month like NaNo. But Carver isn’t dead…he’s only silent. He’s still a fat superhero, in his own mind. He’s still going to be there when I’m ready to take notes from him. He’s an interesting character. I’m still excited to find out more about him and Moira. Their story is worth continuing…I’m just going to have to be patient. They’re not ready to tell me it. They need the din to die down a bit. So, NaNoWriMo, I’m down. But not out. I will continue to the great adventures of my Fat Superhero. When the time comes. I never thought for a minute that it would be an easy task to get a fat superhero off the ground. But once he’s flying, I’m sure there’ll be no stopping him.

Happy NaNoing, NaNoers!
