The insightful son of a broken father finds kindness and guidance from a poet who tries to heal their troubled family.

Sebastian’s Poet begins in the Beaches district of Toronto in the year 1973. It follows Sebastian, his little brother Renee and his tormented father into 1980…as they befriend the famous folksinger Teal Landen. It’s a story of a broken family trying to mend, and the kind stranger who ingratiates himself into their lives in an attempt to make it better. Watch for a cameo appearance from Canada’s own Gordon Lightfoot. (-:

Sebastian’s Poet was originally written over a 48hr period, during my first Muskoka Novel Marathon. After the marathon, the 6 industry judges chose SP to receive the 2007 Muskoka Novel Marathon Best Adult Novel Award.
