If Only I Could Roll My Rrrrrrrrrrrs – AMPROSIA PROSE CONTEST!

This post would be so much more effective if I could only roll my rrrrrrs. Sadly, it is not a skill I ever acquired. )-:

Come to think of it, you wouldn’t hear the rolling if I could. There’s just something about the sound of AMBROSIA being rolllllllllllled out with rolling rrrrrrrs that gets to a person. And I’m sure AMPROSIA would sound just as good. (I could never be Scottish. I wonder if they weed out the non-r-rollers when they’re young and ship them to other continents?)

I had a point…

AMPRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROSIA! The deadline is fast approaching for this year’s Writers’ Community of Durham Region (WCDR) PROSE CONTEST!

This is an EXCELLENT contest. All entries receive judge feedback. First Place Prize is $1,000.00. It is open to whatever kind of prose you can think of: literary, horror, young adult, science fiction, children’s, etc. memoir, creative non-fiction, essays, etc. JUST DON’T SEND THEM POETRY!

Word Count limit is 1,000. The DEADLINE is NOVEMBER 1, 2012!

This contest is ONLINE entry only. Winners and selected entries will appear in the AMPROSIA anthology. This will be the 4th WCDR Prose Contest anthology. I have the other 3…and they’re AWESOME SAUCE. You will want to be in this anthology!
