John Green, Movie, TFIOS, The Fault in Our Stars, YA

Hazel and Gus Revealed – The Fault in Our Stars Movie Poster!

One Sick Love Story, indeed! The Fault in Our Stars changed the way I read. It was a profound and deeply moving story. I believe John Green changed the landscape of Young Adult literature with this book.

Now, I know there is this big controversial death-book bullshit going around, which involves both TFIOS and other YA books where death figures prominently. If it wasn’t so ridiculous, I might find it amusing. Some people seem to think that young adults–as well as the hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of non-young adults–who read the market are incapable of dealing with books with feels. Suck it up, buttercups! Books about death and dying are here to stay.

This is one of the best YA books I have ever read. Can’t wait for the movie!

It releases on my daughter’s birthday too! JUNE 6TH! I think I know one of her presents! (-:
